good morning!  I'm going to attempt to do my own loose extensions this weekend (hopefully) and I'm wondering if there are any retailers in los angeles that have micro rings or linkies or shrinkies starter kits?  I'm going to call his and her hair goods today to ask them, but I wondered if anyone knew of any others?

also - has anyone here used the hair from his and her hair goods and if so, how was the quality/longevity of it?

thanks so much in advance for helping out this extensions newbie.

:-)

You may want to check out the store for Hairpiece.com.  It's located just a few blocks from His & Hers, and I think they call the store The Hair Shop.  The have protubes, which are like micro rings but thinner, and therefore crimp down tighter.  I don't think they have shrinkies, though.

His & Her has some microring type extensions also.

Good Luck!

Lisa

please keep me posted on the products that you boughtfrom the Hair Shop..i used to be a very loyal client of theirs quite  a while ago..well...i decidedd to go "kinky straight" with a yakky perm on wefts..

the quality of the hair wasn't that bad - i had worse, believe me...and was happy with it..i wore it once, and decided to wash and blow dry it..my boyfriend was coming over that night...and i was in an apt. with creme colored carpeting in the bathroom..

i noticed when i blow dried - there was something flying around in the room - i stood there trying to figure it out while the blow dryer was going full blast when something wisped past my face..it was the hair..coming off of the wefts..flying around and landing on the floor, the sink, and on me...

when looked down.... the carpet was covered with this hair...and it was thin on my head..and the wefts..i had to wear it in a thin ponytail that night..

i called them up and asked what had i done wrong...or was i supposed to order the "hand-wefted"..she said it only came on machine wefts -the tracks weren't small...and that i "should have asked us to glue the wefts first.."  as if i knew this information beforehand..

i stood there dumbfounded holding the phone..collected myself and asked "how was i supposed to know this? i had no idea that the wefts had to be glued in the first place"  she said.."you're supposed to ask for glue on the wefts..." and hung up...i thought to myself: No wonder Ms. cleo went out of business - she certainly didn't let over 90% percent of the women that wear extensions from The Hair Shop know that we're supposed to ask for glued wefts before buying that hair...
