I was reading reviews on flatirons because I'm about to purchase one and I came across this one. I've never heard of it and wondered how it compared to the CHI, Solia, or Sedu (those are the other 3 I'm trying to narrow down.

Honeydoo, when I was looking for ceramic irons, I came across Babyliss. Based on reviews (I checked out http://www.folica.com - www.folica.com  and http://www.amazon.com - www.amazon.com in addition to message boards, I decided to place my money somewhere else. Two things convinced me to by another brand: (1) Babyliss seems to break pretty quickly...there were lots of reports of breaking in less than 6 months. (2) Due to the design, hair can get caught in the plates, causing hair breakage and damage. That to me was a huge no-no. Now, I've never used it personally. The ones I have used are the Solia and the CHI. Both are great but I don't like how the CHI doesn't have temperature control and it breaks really fast. 5 of my friends had them and none lasted more than a year...3 broke within the first 4 months of use.

Hello

I have a ceramic flat iron HAI, blue plate, it has heat seeting up to 400. and it is great. I have had it for two years and  have had no problems. It cost 120.00. the name of the brand is HAI.  they have two types Red plate and blue, the blue plate is for coarser hair and the red it for finer hair.  I have naturaly curl hair and it is a great flat iron. Hope this helped.

Hey honeydoo

I've been doing flat iron reviews also (it's hard) and I've seen this one but don't know much about it, sorry.

I saw an infomercial on the maxiglide but I've seen some mixed reviews on that one reguarding the teeth it has on the plates.  I'm leaning towards the Sedu or FHI. Good Luck!
