I don't like ranting and raving (though some may not think it from some of my posts, considering I am new), but I wonder how people are "really feeling", when you are promised good quality "healthy" hair, and end up with sub standard goods.  These people must know the quality is sh*t before they package it for us, yet they still have the cheek to send it to us and get paid.  I know this seems like a long shot, but I think that we should be able to make these suppliers of "so called" healthy locs aware of the fact that we arn't prepared to let them keep selling bogus products.

I know it sounds mad, but I was even thinking of setting up my own web page (with help from a computer nerd of course), so that when people are searching for Remi hair etc, it would appear in a google search and just lightly warn people of the fact that certain suppliers are known for sending out skunk and horse tail.  A long shot I know, but it is so unfair that we have to be placed in their hands over this.

There..............rant over

Actually horse tail is more expensive then indian hair, so I dont know why people would assume otherwise...

Anyways, human hair is a crapshot.  Almost all of us got mislead at some point or another.  Hell, I pretty much gave up all hope for human hair now.  Im sticking with synth, at least then I know what Im getting.

I wasn't talking about the price, so much as the way people have been mislead and ripped off.  If it says human hair though, that is what you should get.  I think most people know that some of the regular bss is either horse tail, or  horse tail human hair mix.  But some sellers of remi indian are definately sending any old sh*t to people, the price was not the issue, so much as the way these goods have been marketed.

I tried synthetic for a while, but it lasted a week, are you using plastihaar (sp?) kalica?

"I wasn't talking about the price, so much as the way people have been mislead and ripped off. "

I understand that, however horsetail is much more expensive then regular bss hair, so it would not be economical to pass it off as such, thats why they wouldnt do it.

Yes, I only use plastikhaar, other synth's dont have the same quality.  "silky straight" synth will turn to a tangled mess asap.

How long does the  plastikhaar last? - I like the thought that the hair is manufactured and not from anyone's head lol, though if I get my hands on some really good remi, I'll make that last me.

Lasts one loose install, but if you take uber good care if it you could get 2 wears out of it before converting it to braids or dreads.

Plastik Haar rocks!  I would check it out!

I have worn human hair and more recently the synth Plastik Haar, and I love it.  It's consistent and inexpensive.

Hair vendors (including those who want to sell us pros hair extension systems/classes) will tell you anything to get you to buy their product.  I won't make a hair purchase until I check out it's reputation on this board.

Yes, at least there are reviews to go by on here, with me being afro carribean though, would I be able to get the plastikhaar in a 1b type colour to match relaxed hair, and not too long ie: 12-14 inches?

you can order wefts as long as you like, up to 60", and the loose hair bundles comes 60" long so you can cut it down as  much as you like.

They have a ton of colors

It may be hard to get Platik Haar t blend in with relaxed hair.

If you are seeking a relaxed, 'yaki' texture, check out http://www.extensions-plus.com - www.extensions-plus.com .

Most of us agree that they have consistently good hair.
