Hello board,

Got some questions about shrinkies:

1. When removing extensions and reinstall right after do you reuse the shrinkie or do you toss them and use a new one?

2. I am thinking about ordering pretipped hair from extensions-plus, do you guys think their pretipped hair needs to be retipped for reinstallation?

3. Is shrinkie stronger or fusion?  I asked because my great lengths strands have continued to slip everyday, so does shrinkie hold better?  I have fine hair.

4. Is there a detail instructions for installing shrinkie for a total newbie?  I have seen pictures at drLock's site and amm's site, but am a bit confused.... Amm's instruction doesnt mention a prebonded plug, but in step 2 of drlocks's instruction it says to push the prebonded plug into the shrinkie.  And i donno what a prebonded plug is...  Are the two methods different?

5. Is it better to use the longer shrinkie or how to choose between the two?

6. The maintenance with shrinkie and fusion, any difference?

hmmm, i guess thats all i have for now, sorry for all the questions, as i said, total newbie here with no extensions experience at all.  Thanks girls...

1. toss the shrinkie get a new one.

2. ?

3.  really is a case by case thing.  My shrinkies never go anywhere.

4.  in amm's tutorial step 9 she refers to the tip being flush.  that's a prebonded tip.

5.  longer shrinkies have more staying power but are more likely to show.

6.  you don't want to get conditioner near the bonds with either one.  you have to be careful about how and with what you brush with both. ummm  I can't think of anything else right now though I know there is more

Thanks for the reply mocha, what exactly is a prebonded tip?  When I read amm's instruction, I thought step 9 simply means just to push the shrinkie to the top, no?

do a board searcha nd I'm sure you'll see a million pics and descriptions of a pretip
basically its a little bundle of hair that is glued together before you start attachign things to your head.

Prebonded is just another word for pretiped. A small bunch of hair glued at the top so it stays together.

My shrinkies never budged. I did it myself for the first time based only on the instructions Amm sent with the order (which I didn't even expect-nice touch Amm), and reading this board. The instructions were clear for me and I had no problems.

I've never had fusion so I can't compare.

Yep. Flush means put the strand's tip in so it's level with the top and
then shrink the shrinkie around it. You get the best hold when the
shrinkie is wrapped from top to bottom on your tip.

ahhh i see, prebonded tip = pretipped hair, ok, got it, thanks for the explanations guys!!

So what do you guys think about extension-plus's pretipped hair?  Good to use with shrinkies, and you think they need to be retipped for each reinstallation?

Amm, is your shrinkies the same thing as drlock's shrinkies?   If not, whats the difference between the two?  I most likely will order from you, can I ask for those instructions niftygirl mentioned? Pleaseeeee....

i love the extension plus hair, the tips are great! they dont  need to be retipped at all. Just spin the tips with your fingers if u need them rounded.

Thanks Tangles, yeah I am one of the lazier ones...

I was just reading some posts and remember Amm has mentioned their hair is a little thin.  Amm, you mean the strands are too thin?  Or is it the hair itself?  And if thats the case, can I combine 2 strands into 1 or something?

I have not bought their strands. They did not impress me enough to purchase.

For me, the strands are extremely thin for the money you pay. Their Softwear line comes in a bag with a "Made in China" label. There were some straightforward reviews on the BHM board that it presented and wore no better than cheap bss hair.

Also, every purchase I made with them, none of my hair was the advertised weight.

The price is about $200 for 4 oz. That is, if you get that much.

Amm,

I went to your site and it says your pretipped is coming soon, would love to buy from you, when are they gonna be available?

And for now, is there anywhere you think the pretipped is good and reasonably priced?  Maybe RK?  or His & Hers's I-Tip?

I am going to order the Lush Hair in 2 weeks. I am finalizing price, shipping, tip sizes, etc with the supplier. I anticipate the end of October I'll have it all in.
