Is it easier your you girls to blend extensions when the client has highlighted hair or a solid colour???

I currently have really dry medium brown hair with blonde hightlights but i am getting so annoyed with the re growth so am thinking about getting a solid brown colour for the winter.

I have recently taken my extensions out and my plan is to hammer it with treatments until the end of november. Have it coloured brown and have my extensions installed in time for xmas and new year..

This is what i am aiming for, yes i know my sights are hight but i just love it!!

Basically my question is is it difficult to blend extensions to a solid colour???

   It's really not difficult at all,  it just takes about an hour to do a solid blend.

     If you're working with synthetic, you lay the colors on top of eachother,  worry through them with your thumb and first finger, split the hair in half,  lay one half on top of theother and start again until the colors blend.

   With Human hair you can use a mangle, or do the same process as above, but you have to be careful to keep the cuticles going the same way.

     Don't be suprised if 10% of the hair ends up on the floor during this process,  that's just the way it goes.   Good Luck

my own personal opinion is that hair that is all one color without a few high- and lowlights looks slightly unnatural. even in the pic if you really look there are a few scattered paler and darker tones. it's like women who dye their hair all one color - for certain looks it's great but i think the most flattering styles have a little bit of depth. i may be missing your point here, though. as scotchy said to get a good match to your own hair color blending is the way to go. whether you are doing wefts or strands i think a few loose high and lowlights are very flattering. i've had pinchbriaids done on highlighted hair and more of a solid-color and it seems the key is picking out your base color/tone and then adding a few other flattering colors as well.
