they're not in the same category. s-curl is a moisturiser and surge is a protien treatment and hair growth product. in fact, surge might dry out your hair.

well, you dont have to. if you already have a moisturising product that you really like, you can try s-curl. if it works better than what you have, get it. if it doesnt, return it. . a lot of people get burns and weird side effects from surge. so you can either give it a try or not

I actually use both religiously with no adverse affects. Sometimes I'll change it up a bit with Infusium 23 (for Surge) and ORS Olive Oil for S-Curl and then shoot, sometimes I use all of the above

 Renee & Grow

I guess I will try it. If my hair even tried to tingle or burn I will return it with attitude

I use a glycerin, water and eo mix(sometimes rosemary oil, sometimes castor oil). It is cheaper for me to make this and more natural than purchasing the s-curl at the store.

EO probably means essential oils.

I use Carefree Curl and this makes my hair moist and softer than any product I've ever used.  I want to try glycerine though.

I got my glycerin at http://www.camdengrey.com - www.camdengrey.com and it is a lot cheaper to buy the glycerin and make your own versus buying a product at the store. also, i add a little liquid aloe vera or rosemary oil or castor oil to it when i feel like doctoring it up a little.

I really like the Surge but I have to mix it up as well.  I can honestly say that I've seen resutls from it (proabably combined with an overall decent regimen).  It says to use it every day but I have to say I cannot use it everyday, because I will get a little tingle, burn, or irritation....I use it around 3 times a week though...

rosemary EO is a scalp stimulator. i have my bottle of surge from two years ago. i might try it again but ill have to mix with some oils. and my hair doesnt like oils or glycerin. so im still thinking on what to mix it with

Thanks carameldiva.  I'm checking that site out right now.  Do you add water to it also?  Would aloe vera gel work instead of liquid?  Sorry if these are dumb questions.....I've never made this before.
