i was wondering a couple of things about about the synthetic hair brands. well first i was going to ask about plastikhaar im not sure if this is the best one i just saw that they have lots of colors and they are inexpensive, i was wondering how many pre tips can i get from one? are there any other companys that are based in the usa and if so can someone offer up a few websites. lastly i was wondering about the life of synthetic hair, i straighten my hair with a maxiglide about 2 times a week and i im wondering if it would look bad after only a few uses...
if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks everyone

I dont think the PH or monofibers can take the heat. If you plan on using hot irons/tools on your hair you may want to consider the thermal fibers like American Dream's Thermofiber, Wawa thermal fiber, Ebonyline Amour, Hot Stuff Fusion, Freetress Futura (and there are various other thermals) all of which are intended to be used with hot styling tools.

What Sherrie said wrt to heat

One 100g pack makes ~ 80 24" tips.

I have Prohair in right now (which is similar to Plastikhaar) and I use a straightening iron once or twice a week.  It doesn't hurt it, but I also use my iron on a very low setting...like level 4 out of 25.  If you're careful, it's possible to use PH, just expose as little of the synth to heat as possible.

As Sherrie and Mocha said, thermofibers are designed to withstand heat on a regular basis, and may be a better choice fo you if you're concerned.

Vixen wigs on ebay is the place to buy Wawa. Carol is a wonderful seller and a conplete pleasure to do business with. Unfortunately the selection of themal fiber is limited to about 6/7 colors. I blend my own to get the colors I want. I did a very detailed post on my experience with the Wawa install here: http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=34223&KW=Wawa+install - http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=34223& amp;KW=Wawa+install

American Dream thermal fiber has a much bigger color selection but difficult to get an order through with them
