Thanks for fixing that Sherrie. My computer crashed last week and a very smart 17 year old neighbor boy fixed it for me. But every thing is different and when I type it wont link any more. I think that bond is very diferent and the remover is not oily not accetone. I might have to get some and see how it works

I looked at that too...not acetone, and not oily...sounds worth trying! Isee they have the pellets too.

hmm, their 'capsules' look exactly like something I have called 'pellets'. I bought online few years ago from a glue manufacturer (not a hair site) who had all sorts of glues.. I assumed it was some form of keratin glue, but the description didn't mention keratin anywhere, but did say it was for bonding human hair. I tried it as experiment since they wre so cheap.    I do love working w/ the pellets tho when doing fusion-- i just drop a pellet on my wimex wand and pretip my hair. Or if i'm not pretipping, i just drop a pellet on wand and fuse the extension to my hair.

Sherrie, I don't know if they are same as what I have, but I use acetone to remove mine.  Worked just like keratin, which is why i thougth it WAS keratin. But now i think it's the polytip marie posted. Thanks marie, I always wondered what this stuff was i was puttin in my hair.

ETA: oh i just read the msds and it says "acetone". ???

Koffee how did the capsules you bought work out holding up and removing?

KB...the msds for acetone was just so you could read the 'dangers' of using acetone. As a comparison to their remover product.

They worked the same as keratin fusion sticks, and looks like sticks too, just a difft shape. Which is why for all this time, i thought the pellets WERE keratin. I wasn't sure tho, because it doesn't say 'keratin' on the plastic bag. But they behaved as keratin does. Now i see it's called polytips. I think i posted a pix of the pellets I have, but i don't rem the thread topic; maybe search for 'pellets'.

I'm pretty sure that keratin glue is just polyamide hot melt glue, or something so close it doesn't matter to differentiate. I bought a bunch of polyamide glue sticks just to play around, and they sure seem like keratin glue to me. All I've had, to be fair, is Kristin's fusion chips. But they melt at way high temps and resist everything but acetone. They are pricey for hot melt but cheap compared to fusion glue.

I have three different types of pellets. I put an xs microring on the far right for scale.

The left glue is more like a "pillow" and is way too big for most needs. This thing needs to be cut into thirds to make nail hair. The next one is a round amber dollop that's smooth. Melts good but still too much for tip making. The little clear one is like the kind koffee posted. It looks white but the flash is reflecting off it. They come in amber but I have the clear. They are a nice size for tipping.

None of these break down in oily remover. I tried mine as well as the Liquid Gold and neither would budge it. Acetone was the only thing that worked.

The big sticks I have I cut into shapes like on the far left, amm, and toss into the hot pot. Then I  grab a decent size section of hair, 6-7 tips worth, dip it all it to secure the ends, mush it a bit flatter before it cools, and cut it into the size tips I need. I just spin them real quick with my heat wand to shape and remove excess glue and they look great. Still would rather have nice pretipped hair at reasonable prices (waiting on yours) , but this is the best I've done for myself so far. I've called around and I know that most glue manufacturers will supply pellets if you want that shape, but you have to order so damn many. Might be worth it for you to resell, but not for me.

This place has polyamide glue and another glue that they advertised as being special for hair. Not sure if it's the wax type fusion sticks or not? They're reasonably priced for anyone who's curious.
