I would not only if useing shells or micro rings. Otherwise the lg is a good thing with shrinks. It helps hold it better and comes off with ams remover.

Hi Marie,

So, don't use nail glue layered over the Liquid Gold w/ Shrinkies?  I am sorry, I'm not sure if that is what you meant.  Thanks!

I mean, I get that the LG is good w/ shrinkies but is it ok not to use the nail glue?   The nail glue is to prevent the LG from getting on the natural hair, right?  So, if it is not used, is the residue awful or ok?  I am a little confused on this matter!  thx

lucky chick...you are right the nail glue prevents the LG from getting onto the natural hair. But many people have found that the LG gives it the little extra holding power and they last longer. No the little bit of LG is not difficult to remove.

And we have found that the shrinky dose not stick to the nail glue well. When I pre tip for shrinks I use latex then a top coat of LG. I have a hard time useing the LG to make the tip because it's so messy. But if you can make the tip with LG then you wont need anything else.
