Hello everyone. I am trying to grow my hair long.

I have some pieces in the front which seem to have broken off in the middle or so, and are split. I don`t want to get a whole hair cut, but want these ends off. It has been 11 weeks since my last haircut.

My question is, is it reasonable to ask a hairdresser to identify these pieces and cut them off? And if I can ask a hairdresser this without seeming crazy, how much should I expect to pay?

Do you think I do it my self with professional scissors?

Thank you, Sara

There is no reason why you or anyone cannot trim off their own split ends. If you can tell the difference between the split ends and the good hair then go ahead and nip those splits.

Just do like you said and use good sharp scissors
