Hey everyone! Has anyone tried this new product by feria, a Sally's sold color...Feria Xtra Lift Browns, i think its reminiscent of the otc high lift browns by the drugstore brand of feria dyes. Here's the link: http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1410/500233 - http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1410/500233

Anyway if anyone has used it please share ur thoughts. There's a friend of mine who would like to try it but wants to hear opnions first.

Thanks!

I would love to know this as well. I just tried the Feria Hi-Lift Browns in Underground Brown, and it was a no go for me .

my friend tried the extra lift brown dye, and it didn't work at all. After we went on some website (I forget what it was) and there were reviews of it, and all the reviews said it didn't work for them

Kalena, just wondering, what did the Hi-Lift do to your hair? Nothing at
all, too much, or too damaging? I'd enjoy your thoughts because I'm
planning on lifting a bit of my mom's color (her old color is "too dark" for
her gray roots but I think it's fabulous)

Can anyone give me any advice on what Feria Hi-lift will do to gray roots?

Thanks for the input guys! I guess Feria made these the same way they created the hi-lift browns. Kalena, abt over a year ago I had tried the Feria hi-lift brown in that same Downtown Brown on two streaks, and didn't get good results either...it probably lightened to the same level as would a regular permanent brown color on naturally black hair. I did try one of the strands one more time and got it a little lighter, but whts the point of that rite?

Lostforever, I actually tried the rest of that downtown brown shade on my mom's colored hair and virgin roots that were maybe 15% gray and it seems to cover but it didn't even lighten the root area that much, so i really wouldn't bet on it lifting color. http://www.makeupalley.com - www.makeupalley.com has color reviews of most of the otc hi lift colors in the market and I think that the Garnier 100% color got better reviews than the other ones.

the hi-lift browns didn`t do a THING to my hair!! i was very disappointed . after reading that they had an xtra lift browns, i headed on over to sally`s today and bought me a lovely bottle of the stuff in xtra lift beige brown, and on my hair, i didn`t get that much of a noticeable result either. but that`s just my experience .

Kalene why don't u try this color called "Bigen Xpressive powder permanent color?" According to reviews at folica.com it works well on lifting naturally dark hair...just a suggestion ;) http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1410/199200 - http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1410/199200

hmmm, i didn`t remember seeing anything like that when I went there yesterday, but I guess now that I know what to look for, I should try to look harder. have you or your friend tried it yet?

No I haven't tried it, neither is my friend becuz she was never into coloring her hair before...anyway I have colored red hair but what seems cool abt this is that all you have to add is water, and if you check folica.com most of the reviews were positive. I might just use of the red shades for my next touch-up, but that's like a month away!
