Is this some sort of compound to prep a weft for tape. In essence making a "rubber" foundation for the tape to adhere to(seemless style)? Or is this merely to repair lacefronts and other systems?

I'm pretty sure it's just used to make repairs to hairpiece bases.

The way that I read it, you could make your own seamless.  Now I could be wrong, but if you took a weft and put a coat of this stuff just below the stitching, allowed it to dry, then added 2 additional coats, I would think that you could cut the top of the weft off, leaving you with a seamless foundation to apply your tape to.

Some factors to consider would be how thin the liquid is, and how long will it hold up without shedding or just completely disinigrating.  Looks promissing tho.

I hope it works better then liquid gold.  I tried the seamless weft they mentioned on their site, and it was fine for the first week, then it started getting all rubbery and white and looked like I had dandruff army ready to deploy.

I called this company a ways back(regarding C22)...It was an odd little conversation. He likes to talk..but I'd rather that than someone to blow me off! Maybe I'll call, or if anyone else wants to, explain I'm try to create a poly base for wefts...maybe he will have some recommendations.

Due to the fact that Liquid Gold dries clear and will bond when dry on both the added hair and the natural hair, you
can provide the following services.
Most hair for weaving is two smaller separate tracks sewed together. Using a razor blade or shears, split the wefts
apart. (This will compare to the patrons own thinning hair). Apply the bond to the hair just BELOW the weft, as close
to the weft as possible (not on the weft) on BOTH SIDES of the wefted hair, then to the parted natural hair close to the
scalp (not on the scalp). Lay weft on parted scalp so that the bonded area below weft will be where bond is on natural
hair. Press on with the back of a styling comb, then seal lightly with a warm curling iron. Cut away weft with shears.
The parting will make a perfect channel to cut away the weft without cutting the natural hair. If done correctly, the
added hair should look and feel as though it is growing from the scalp. Always apply the bond with thin even strokes.
If you apply the bond to heavily, it will show through and not look natural. Applying the bond to heavily will not make it
bond any stronger or longer.

I did that and the bonds got all gummy and gross. looked good for the first couple days though

Koffee, I wouldn't worry about it coming in contact with the natural hair. Because when you do a seamless install the tape surrounds the base of the extension hair, so only the tape gets on your natura hair. And the tape slides off the natural hair with a few pumps of amms orange remover.
