How deep should i rub the cream into my hair? Last time i touched my scalp a couple times and the skin burned. Once i finally got my hair cut the hair came out uneven and darker in some spots more than others. How is it even possible to evenly distribute through my hair without touching the scalp? Sould i just let the cream rest on the top of my hair or should i try to get my hair covered midway to to top.

Base means to put some type of protection on your scalp, some people use Vaseline (well I do), some type of grease or an actual relaxer base. I do believe that Profectiv has one. That way you can lower the chances of burning your scalp.

Yes you not only put it on your scalp but on the perimeter of your head as well (you know behind the ears and all around your edges).
