Hi.  I'm finally starting to take steps towards getting my extensions!  Gathering information took FOREVER.  I want SO BADLY to use Lush Hair (which I'm assuming still isn't available but will be soon) because I have heard such amazing things about it from you ladies.  And also, I'm planning on using the DIY starter pak from shrinkies.net.

I'm wanting to do 3 colors (sadly).  I want to do dark underneath (#2?), hair that matches my current blonde (#22/27 mix?), and add some #613 highlights all over.  But, I have NO IDEA how much of these I should order.  I'm so confused.

hi there - good for you for doing the gathering info stage. i guess first off typically how much hair you install depends on how long your hair is, do you want length/thickness, how big your head is lol. i would say for a full head typically around 8 oz of hair is needed to go short to long on my own personal head with regular non-lush human hair. many people get away with half that (4 oz) if your own hair is of some length or you aren't going that long. do a board search as i know in particular amm, gina, chris h, amanda have kinda listed how much of the lush they used and i remember some talking about how the lush hair is very full, so you may not need as much - from those pics you can sort of gauge how much you may need also in terms of the main color you want to use and how much it may take for an underlayer and highlights.

hope this helps!
