I've heard some good reviews on the maxiglide.  I think this is going to be the next flat iron I get, and the good thing is that I heard you can get them at  Bed Bath and Beyond.  Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any reviews (good or bad) on this particular flat iron, or any other good ones.

God bless.

i have one and I love it. Remember me? I posted on the 3b post...I'm transitioning and this iron is great for blending my two textures. I don't use the steam anymore b/c it burned my scalp once. I pressed the steam button when it was close to my scalp which I forgot the manual said not to do. Anyways, some people say that the detangling pins grab their hair...everybody has breakage, it's just tht if it pulls a couple hair you'll have to take them out so they don't burn and stink in the iron or oyu can change it to the flat plate. Overall it's the best iron I've used. I heard the Sedu was really good too but it doesn't have detangling pins.  What's the difference between the Solia and Sedu? Their features look alike and the before and after pics.

Thanks jasmine.  I remember you.  How is the transition going?  The solia and sedu seem a lot the same to me to.  I heard the FHI is good also.  Is the Maxiglide ceramic?

I have the the Maxiglide..... LOVE IT!!   I have had mine almost one year.  It is a ceramic iron with a flat plate and a plate with "detangling pins".  It works well on my relaxed hair, especially between relaxers.  It allows me to stretch them.  It has a temperature control and stream burst.  It is worth the money.  I also have the Miniglide and I use the products that you can buy separately.  I bought mine on http://www.shopathometv.com - www.shopathometv.com .  I will eventually buy another one for when mine gives out.  I LOVE IT that much.  Hope this review of it helps.

By the way LOVE this form.  I knew that their were others that loved their "crown and glory" as much as I do.  You are all AWESOME

Thanks so much for your review.  This thing sounds too good to be true.  I can't wait to get it.  I'm glad that it's ceramic also, that's a plus.  I'm not to sure about the steam everyone talks about but if it gets my hair straight that's ok.

I'm glad you like the forum.  Hope to see you around!
