I`ve already posted a bunch but I thought I`d introduce myself.
Hi, I am Robert / PurpleBubba from Michigan. I`m not currently attending but I have completed 800 of 1500 hours of Cosmetology School. I came to these boards in case there is something I can help answer. If I can help anyone or help you find something please ask. Please note that I don`t have knowledge about which brands are better than others. The main reason being that some products work better for one person than another. The only way you can find out if something works for you is to try it. I am in favor of letting people make choices for themselves and not forcing my feelings or opinions on others. I feel it is better to give people all of the options and let them choose which one they want to try. While I may personally prefer longer hair on women, I do not believe in picking on people for what happens in their life. Whether they like or hate their hair I am here to be supportive of their decisions and help if I can.

By the way, I posted this here because this is where I will spend a majority of my time.

Michigan is just the absolute BEST place to live, isn`t it Robert? Are you getting the same hair-curling, sweat-inducing heat over in the eastern part as we are by Lake Michigan? Stay cool :-)

Probably, we had the rain and storms come through earlier.

Robert, I couldn`t do what you`re planning to do in your new career.

A woman might enter my shop and say, cut all my long hair off. I`d have to send her away.

Gord (also in Michigan, by the way)

What a horror! To be without internet for 11 months. I don't think the wonderful people of this board have ever seen your hair. Can you post a link?

I Have some pictures of me from 1997 & 2000 on my Homepage / Lighthouses and Ships page. I haven't had a picture taken since 2000 but my hair is basically the same just a bit longer and probably has more splits at the moment.

Hi Purplebubba, welcome back! Like Jacqui, I couldn't imagine going 11 months without accessing the internet. It's not a luxury, it's a necessity.

Oh, and by the way, don't confess your splits to your fellow students unless you want to hear them suggest a "remedy." Your hair would seem to be about long enough to perform the "dusting" technique on yourself. Have you ever tried it?

Yeah, I trimmed about 3 of them.

Not a good number for someone who wrote a whole article about it.

But maybe I'm waiting for certain commercials to come on or something.

No chance of anyone ever talking me into doing something I don't want with my hair. I was very firm on that issue.
