I think that some of you ladies who has been very successful in getting your hair in the healthiest state possible and growing your hair long, should get your cosmotologist license and start your own "Healthy hair salon."

We all want LONG, HEALTHY hair and we also know that there is a process achieve this.  I too am growing my hair long and since I've been coming on these boards, my hair is getting better, stronger and yes, longer than ever before.  You can do it!!!  Even if some of you are living in the same state, you can try to do it together.  That would be great.  Then, those of us who are not able to open a salon, will come to your shop for our relaxers, help with transistions from relaxed to natural, oils for the hair, the best products, etc.

Just a thought....what do you all think?  Hey, who better knows our hair than us, right?  And some of you ladies are very good at what you do!

Let me know!!!

Hey!
When I was younger I wanted to open a salon that caters to African hair. There are only two where I live now (that I know of) and both of them are little, hole in the wall places.

The main reason I got into beauty is because I want to open my own salon and eventually have branches all over the Arabian Gulf. Yes I know, I have a LOOOONG way to go. Honestly, the beauty industry in the Gulf disgusts me at the moment. Even at the 5star hotels, they pay you sooo little (I was paid $2.5 an hour and worked ten hours a day, five days a week) and they make soo much money off you and drive their fancy cars. And they hire people who aren't qualified and stuff cuz they don't ask for more money.

I want to change all that. I want to raise the standards of beauty and hair care as well as employment in the industry. I just have to get some experience and start saving up my money first:)

Hahah I am soo just blabbing on and on..Sorry! I just wanted to say that yes, I think any person who loves the industry with a passion (like I do!!) will definitly succeed and should absolutely give it a shot!
