I've been lurking for a couple of months now, and I have to say, I've
learned more about my hair during that time than I have my whole
life!
You gals really know your hairstuff...hopefully I'll be able to keep up withcha!
I do have a question for you hair gurus...I'm a relaxed 4b, and tonight
I tried clarifying my hair with an acv rinse. OMG...can you say
itchy, flaky scalp, looked like a duststorm up in there!
And that's AFTER I moisturized with carrot creme and jojoba oil. Is my head crazy, or did I do something wrong???
TIA!

Sistaslick, all I have to say is...WOW! Girl, I want your hair, it's beautiful!!!!

I was in a hurry (I know I should have made more time) so after the ACV
I mixed my moisturing and protein conditioners and left them on for
about 10 minutes in the shower.
After that, sprayed with Surge, put on Giovanni direct, and
phytodefrisant...wished I had time to let this mess airdry, but I had
to whip out the blowdryer (only used it on warm for about 10 minutes).
What bothers me is, my hair has NEVER flaked like that before!

Awww thanks Hey, have you had flakes like that before with the Surge? I know alot of hair board ladies complained that Surge caused itching and flaking for them in the last unless they mixed it with some type of heavier oil before applying.

Hmmmm, maybe that's it! The only thing I did different this time is the ACV and Surge...I'm betting the Surge is what dried my scalp out so bad.
I have to do a con wash tonight (my hair is taking a beating due to my job) so I'll skip the Surge and see whta happens this time around.
Thanks for the welcomes and the advice you all!

Welcome to the Forum!! I agree about the surge, it may have been too drying. Maybe a hot oil treatment will work also. Olive oil and honey together are very moisturizing. Conditioning washes are a great idea also!!
