well-- im no expert in skincare, but i know a couple of basic stuff. Your outbreaks could be due to something in your diet (i sincerely doubt it would be the mineral in the water) -- if it is diet related, it would more likely be a type of food like a tomato (the seeds are allergenic)or egg or something else which the skin doesnt react well to. Have you changed your diet recently? it could also be due to your moving, you might be really stressed out and this gives you zits. Or, it could also be the hormonal factor of puberty. There's no exact way of ponpointing what the factors are-- but some things i think help:
--- orange juice is very good for your skin, as are carrots
---(its really expensive) but azelaic acid is a prescription medicine peeler, you put it on at night, check out my previous post abt it. look through the other options first though, this should be a last resort.
---always moisturize after you tone-- most people done know that if you dont do that, you're stripping your skin of a layer then leaving it exposed to dirt, therefore making it MORE likely to develop acne. If you don't tone and moisturize after you wash your face, you should, it helps a lot. Brands like neutrogena or clinique are excellent.
---sounds really weird-- but exercise. Ever since i started (i had really bad acne) -- not only does it relieve me of stress and help elimate a bunch of pimples-to-come, also, after im done and i wash my skin feels SO much cleaner and healthier because your sweat along with all the cumulated dirt on your face gets washed away and you're MUCh less likely to oil up afterwards . your glands have been hard at work to produce sweat (doesnt sound scientific, but really it is)-- so its highly unlikely that your skin will act up a second time to produce oil. I usually exercise for like an hour. Cardio, situps, stuff like that, doesnt have to be hard core at all.
---masks. Olay clay mask, Neutrogena acne mask with 10% benzoil is BRILLIANT. Benzoil peroxide is really effective in eliminating and preventing acne, its whats found in most of those 'miracle' proactiv products (theyre not really n e thing new, just applied dermatology to a basic chemical). Mask 2 or 3 times a week if your skin is oily, or jsut once if it is dry. helps a LOt. should be like 4-6$ for a bottle/tube.
---if you eat a lot of sweets/fatty foods, try cutting down some. They help your skin act up to make more oil.
