Please advise: I went to a color correction salon to have color and highlights. I Asked for brunette hair (natural color) with brown highlights. I got merlot wine colored hair with flaming blue red rocker highlights. She says she will fix it with a blue kicker all Redken products. I asked a stylist and she said run. I paid 200. and losing that is not as bad as meeting my husbands family for the first time with this color. Help!! how can I tone down the highlights? I can handle the base color, but I want more brown and a natural look.

Good lord girl! For $200 you go back to the salon and tell them you want it fixed...NOW, like today! What color was your hair originally? Was it already colored hair? If so what product did you use to color it? I don't use Redken so I don't know what a blue kicker is. Do not attempt to fix this yourself you run a great risk of compounding the problem more. Do you know what the stylist used on your hair? Color correction we're you doing a tint back that is going from a light color like blonde back to brown? If so did she fill your hair with a filler?

Gdamn she should have fixed your hair then and there...no questions asked! What crap some stylists get away with is unbelivable. I could never, EVER let a women outta my chair with hair that color.

She used all Redken products. My hair had been colored before and the roots needed touching up. My natural color is Brunette. I asked for brunette hair with brown highlights. I am going to ask for my money back, because I am afraid to trust her to fix it. She was not doing a color correction for me, that is just what the Salon is called. I went there thinking they would know what to do.The blue kicker she wants to put on it to fix it another stylists said would turn it purple and run.
I have an appointment with a new stylist to fix it. What should she do?
