Hi, I am new.  I have medium length fine hair.  I find this wonderful website while I was strolling the internet looking for some info on how to create the 1920s wave style.  I don't know what it is actually called but so you know what I talking about it was shown in the movie Chicago and I've seen some celebrities with it such as Qwen Stafani.  My hair is so flat, sometimes I leave braides in it.  I want to find something different to do with my hair.  I love this old timey look that coming back and I think it would look great on me, but I can't figure out how its done.  Please give me info on how its done. Thank You

I think you're referring to finger waves.
You can try looking up finger waves online but if you want to get them done your best option is to go to a beauty school. A lot of state boards require that students learn to do finger waves so you'll have much better luck getting them at a school than at a salon where the stylist may not have done them in years.
