Chances are you would end up with patchy hair. If you used a permanent color,I would use colorfix. Its pretty gentle and it works. If you used semi or demi permanent You could use the loreal color remover.Normally I wouldnt reccomend box dyes or removers, but this one works. Its harsher than colorfix, but it will remove the black and leave you with orange. Plus its not nearly as bad for hair if you bleached out the black, which i strongly advise against.

What is your goal. After you remove the black?

Do you have natural black hair, cause then you won't need to use colorfix before bleaching.

If you have naturally black hair, I'd sugges that you go to a beauty supply and get bleach and toner.

I'd recommend that you get Wella wellite speedlite bleach and 30 volume developer to mix it with. Make sure that you also get the tools need (applicator bottle, color bowl, colorbrush and so on)

You'll also need to get a toner to cancel out any unwanted tones after bleaching, and If you want to go light blonde you may need to bleach your hair two times to make it light enough (to get light blonde/platinum) you need to bleach the hair to pale yellow (like the inside of a banana) When you've reached pale yellow you'll need to tone the hair.

To cancel yellow tones you'll need a violet base, to cancel out golden/very light orange tones you need a blue-violet toner, to cancel light orange tones you'll need a blue base toner. Get a semi permanent toner, it's less harsh on your hair than a permanent one and the right developer to use it with (do not mix it with 30 volume developer)

. Hopefully the staff at the beauty supply can help you out.

good luck

I forget to add that it's a good idea to get yourself purple shampoo and conditioner to keep the yellowness out. :)
