Hey Everybody,

I've been searching and searching for information on hair fusions before going out and actually getting them done. I found a few good hair care message boards, but none that actually had a forum dedicated to "Hair Extensions" . About my hair: I'm a 20 year old African American female who recently got a perm and a black rinse a couple of days ago...on my "I've-waited-a-month-bleached hair". I had a perm previous to this one on my bleached hair before and it came out fine, but I tried out another stylist and she left the relaxer in a little too long. My hair is now at my shoulders and kind of thin. I then considered the fusions, and came across this website that uses no heat, no glue, etc... just clamp it down. http://www.hisandher.com/faq_ringsys.asp - http://www.hisandher.com/faq_ringsys.asp . Looks easy, but the clamps look kind of big. I then skimmed through some threads on this forum and saw that I can get pre-tipped hair but use smaller tubes such as Protubes (?), but I hear they are made of aluminum and I relax my hair and like to change up the color sometimes. My hair is Jet black now, and i'm especially concerned about the fusions being undetectable in the bangs area which is pretty thin now. Are Dinkie Links ok to use? and what about the right hair? Remy?, Indian?

Hi Crystal and welcome!

Out of all the links that you mention, I personally like the protubes from http://www.hairpiece.com - www.hairpiece.com .  They crimp down very flat and tend to stay in the hair very well without slipping (on most people).

I think a lot of people have trouble with the dinkie links slipping.

As for wearing them in the bangs, no matter what extension method it is, it will be much harder to conceal.  You may not be able to put extensions in the bangs.

I'm sure others will jump in here and give their opinions.

Good luck!
