I'm sorry I posted this in the wrong section, so some of you may read this twice.

Hi everyone,

You guys gave me some great advise on pretipping my shrinkies from AMM. Of course I did not follow it.. I decided that since I use slightly oily products ( african american dry hair) and sometimes pure jojoba oil on my ends ,the shrinkies might slip, plus I did not feel like pretipping . I did Liquid gold fusion on my hair, and slid the shrinkie over that. I know that I may have a hard time getting the Liquid gold  out in the future, but I don't care. This is the easiest most beautiful method I have tried. I did enjoy the dome method. I had been using weaves and the maylasian method, but those methods last me only a few washes and after a week, I need to redo. I felt like I was always standing around with a needle and thread. I am using his and her cuticle hand tied hair. I took it down from the weave, clarified and used for form my shrinkies. I am nearly finished. This method is a little lumpier than my weave, which I could not feel, but I know I am going to love it. I will post pics when I finish.

That's what instructions are for -- so you can totally deviate from
them, come up with something NEW and then tell us about it!

You will have no problem getting the LG out with a good orange
remover.

Congrats on the install. Pics pics!

CityGirl,

I used amm's orange remover tonight to remove liquid gold from my hair and it worked really, really good!  Much better, for me, than the actual liquid gold remover.

The shrinkies are cool, I agree.  I tested 10 for a few days and I love them.  Easy enough to install, easy enough to remove.

I haven't found one thing that Amm's remover doesn't get out.  I even use it for fusion take downs now, its so much easier than acetone.  The only thing I use acetone for now is bonded weft take downs if they are having them reinstalled straight away x

I must say repeat!! This install is too easy! I just grab a tiny piece of hair and put some LG in it and then grab a tiny piece of my hair and roll the two together near the root. Then just put the shrinkie over the bond. I try to be neat because I dont want any liquid gold to be outside of the shrinkie because we all know what liquid gold can look like after a few days.  These shrinkies are sooo secure!

that sounds like a really easy way to do it ... but i'm confused about how you put the shrinkie on over the hair if you've already rolled your hair and the tip of the extension hair together ... am i missing something?!

No kidding, Amanda? That's great! I haven't gotten it to work on
bonds like Cinderella and Great Lengths. The one thing I don't miss
using at all is that Liquid Gold Remover. Since the Shrinkies Remover
works on that, I've tossed the LG Remover. This is possibly one of
the most disgusting odors I've ever come across.

Lady, if I'm reading her right, she's doing a fusion technique and then
threading the shrinkie over the top and installing over the LG bond.
I've basically done the same thing but I pretipped the hair first with
LG. When the LG melts under the shrinkie, it provides super hold.

When the Lush*Hair comes in, all that won't need to be done
anymore. The Lush tips are premade with a coating that works
exactly like an LG coating. It's going to work splendid with non-
adhesive shrinkies, too.
