first, id just like to say a thank you to all of you very knowledgable hair extenstion experts who take out the time to answer questions from novices, like myself.. this board has soo much information, its crazy!!
anyways, after reading and reading and reading through all of these posts.. i have decided to go through with the extentube method and im going to have my bf help me out with it.. i have really damaged hair from being a brunette who loves being bleach blonde and as a result have lost a lot of my hair due to breakage.. the extentube method and the weaving method seems the least damaging to me from what ive read soo i think im going to try out the extentubes..wish me luck!!
i know pretty much what im going to do.. im getting : (medium) extentubes, pliers to close them, pliers to open them, the threading needle, hair (bohyme 613) , Liquid Gold, and nail glue
im going to pretip them myself but i was wondering , for those of you who are familiar with extentubes-- im using Liquid gold and nail glue to pretip , will the glue from pretipping get into my hair over time after the extentube is closed ? i would just figure since the extentube is so tight onto the hair the pretip portion would smush and some of the glue would get into the hair and might damage my hair? basically im asking, what is the best method of pretipping to avoid damaging hair for the extentube method of extensions?
also.. how do i know how much of my own hair to put into the extentube(which is medium) and how big my corresponding pretips should be? in other words what is the ratio of my own hair to the extentsion hair? i dont want to put too little so that there is a lot of tension on my head and my own hair rips out when im brushing or something, BUT i also dont want it to be too much so that im using huge sections of my own hair... so basically... how do i figure that out?
and one more question.. sorry... there are so many! with the bohyme hair ive noticed there are two types, hand tied, and just regular.. is hand tied the one on the weft and is the other kind just loose hair with a tie around it?
hmm.. thats it for now.. thank u guys for taking out the time to help me out i really appreciate it! you guys are great!
