Ok Im getting ready to start putting in my WaWa wefts with the LG, and I was wondering.... do you ladies cut a whole row - i.e. enough to go around the whole head, section off the hair, and put the whole row on at once, or do you cut the weft and do it in sections? It just seems like its going to be difficult to take the whole piece of weft (in my case it takes aout a 12 inch piece) and wrap it around the head w/o getting glue all over the place. It seems like it would be easier to cut it into sections, of 3-4 inches each, and apply them separately, like a piece for each side and one for the back, etc? I dont know if Im making myself clear, I have a headache and my kids are running around being hoodlums, so Im a bit frazzled at the moment anyhow.

Hope someone answers soon so I can get started, I just want to be sure I do this right so my new hair will last as long as possible :)

Also... anyone have any thoughts on how to make this WaWa hold a curl??? I have the Conair Big Curls hot rollers, I tried rolling the hair both wet and dry, and couldnt get more than the barest bend out of it :(

I usually put the whole piece in at one time.  I try very carefully not to get the glue all over the place, and have to be very creative in how I hold the mirror so I can see the back of my head while placing.

The only problem I would think you would run into cutting it into smaller sections is that the ends would lift easier, with one whole

piece you just have 2 ends.

Wait until the kids go to bed before you try to install, otherwise you will want to tie them up with the hair and LG.  I know, I have 3 kids under the age of 8, and have tried to do installs with them around, it just doesn't work!!!

Good Luck

I usually do as many in single wefts as possible, that wrap around the head, the only time I use shorter pieces is for the very top around the partline.

Hey Jenn, I usually do whole pieces too, but its hard...sometimes if my daughter is around I have here help me place the longer pieces. But generally I do it alone.

You need steam girl, to get the wawa to curl. I found the Caruso steam rollers worked good and I liked using velcro rollers and a steamer. I good curling iron used on wet wawa worked great (but I think that might have been part of the problem with losing the silky feel of the synth)

The key is that the curl has to heat and cool in the same position...dont disturb the curl until it is COMPLETEY cool or it will fall right out.

I make a part starting at the bottom and cut the weft size from ear to ear in one piece. But try not to get too close to your ear (leave like an inch space between the ear and where you place the weft.

That blue tape with a dab of Vapon No Tape is much neater and lasts longer than the LG. I used the C-22 solvent to get the tape off yesterday with some conditioner and it was a breeze! (Metalgirls suggestions)

Close to my hairline I place fusion chips or the Extendmagic bonds so you can't see the weft.

where do i get this tape and the vapon no tape? where's the cheapest source? I really need to get hold of some, Im having major issues with the mess of the LG while installing, it just wants to glop all over the place *sigh* and because of that I feel like I waste quite a bit of it.

Ive had to cut most of the pieces into sections in order to get them in, I wish I didnt ut with my hair being the length it is (short) and the mess and all I just couldnt get the whole piece coated in glue and the glue on my hair and then apply it all efore it dried. what a PITA. All I gotta say is, this etter last while, for all the trouble Ive had to go to.

Another question - will I be able to reapply the pices if/when they fall out, or are they shot once they come out? Im having visions of pieces coming out and having half a head of hair in, and looking retarded. I jsut really couldnt see a way to get the whole pieces of weft in on my own thought mailto:d@mmit - d@mmit

Sherrie, the Proflex tape was in about one month and still holding but I took it out and redid it. LG glue only lasts in my hair about one to two weeks tops!
