Hi everyone! We are new to this forum. we are from Australia!

We have just started in the Hair Ext Business and we just love trying all new methods and techinique thanks to this forum! its the best thing ever!

I had a question regarding two clip in wefts i have. At the moment i have half microlink/half shrinkies(just doing a test) and due bad hair i am using at the moment(which i put in with the shrinkies) i had to trim the hair back a little bit. Hopefully i will only have this hair in for a week or so more, but Sunday is a very important day, and for the day, i am just going throw in two wefts(they are on clips, saves me mucking around) to give it a bit of legnth. The problem is the weft is #613 and my hair is darkest brown. I am only really going to wear them once, so i don't mind if i damage them, i just need one wear, but i need to dye them to match my hair(darkest brown) which dye do you recommond I use? Salon dye and a red filler, or just your supermarket semi packet perm, like Loreal or nice and easy.??

thanks again for your help

Ive used just about every brand of hair dye from the drug store on extension hair and they work just fine. If you arent worried about the extensions getting dried out or damaged anything will do...Ive noticed though that some hair takes the dye super quick, and comes out darker than expected so....beware! Also.. but it probably doesnt matter since you are only using them temporary...but it seems like the semi perms. work better and the color holds better than the permanent dyes.(In my opinion)

and seeing its white blonde almost and im trying to get it to basically a black, should i go for darkest brown, or just a black? my hair is a mixture between a soft black and darkest brown.

def go for the darkest brown home dye kits always without fail go darker than you think. you can always go darker but ur screwed if u let it get blue black and need it up again.

good luck

I agree with Kirsty, Id go a shade lighter cause its easier to darken it if you need to, then to lighten it up.

I would advise to to a 6-8 wash hair dye in red before you do the dark....when hair is that ligth you need to fill in the pigments that was bleached out!:)

Yeah, from experience, do the dark brown, not black. I had some
bleached hair and so I went with black (hoping the bleached part would
turn out a dark brown) and no, it was JET BLACK. The extensions took the
color nice though. Just the wrong color!

Besides, it's easy to go darker than to go too dark and lighten it up.

Goodluck with whatever you have on sunday!

thanks!!!!!

i didn't want it to go too redish brown as my hair is a very black brown so i wasn't sure about putting the red filler underneath

i will stick to dark brown
