Historically the hair vitamin board became a forum that was constantly being spammed by third party advertisers and manufacturers (not connected with HB.com) who wished to use the board for "free advertising" for their various hair vitamins, hair loss pills/potions/lotions and related hair growth formulas.

Although Hairboutique.com does accept paid advertising for the website, we do not accept it for the actual forum (except in top of the page banners) since we try to maintain a place where visitors feel comfortable posting w/out being bombarded by ads.  We also do not appreciate outside manufacturers using the forums that are paid for by HairBoutique.com funds as their own free ad space.

HairBoutique.com tries very hard to keep the topic boards as free of spamming and advertising as possible. 

Therefore we locked the board.  Initially were going to just delete the board completely but some of the posts offer good information and thus it was decided to keep the board but make it a locked archive forum which is for research and reading only.

Some topics have proven to be too difficult to manage from spam and related problem posts.  When that happens we either delete the forum completely or lock it permanently.
