i had wefts glued in and when they started to fall i got impatient and took them out. but now im stuck with disgusting black goo in my hair. is there some product, or something i can do to get rid of this?

also. i fell in love with having long hair, so i kept my wefts and have been reading all about shrinkies and stuff. i think i get the jist of it but i was wondering what other things i needed:

liquid gold glue to pretip
popsickle stick
nailene glue
shrinkies
some sort of hot wand?
a needle of some sort?

can these be found at a beauty supply place or do i have to order them offline? thanks in advance guys.

ok to get the glue out - you can read other threads on glue removeal do a search and type in glue removal

for shrinks - go to http://www.shrinkies.net - www.shrinkies.net

everything u need for it is there- you dont need to make your own hair, they sell it there,

so u get

hair

shrinks

threader

heat wand

then your set. everything is sold on that site and its the best there is out there!

good luck

Liquid Gold remover has worked to take out all of the glued in wefts I've come in contact with. You can buy it for about $5.99. Let me know if you need some. You also may try the remover Sally's beauty has but i don't know how well it works.

You can re-use your hair if you are trying to save some money. Many people re-tip their own hair for individual installs. Liquid Gold or keratin works very well for this along with a little coat of nail glue to finish them off. I have a demo that Amm wrote for making your own pre-tipped strands on my old website:

http://www.haircandy.net/pretip.htm - http://www.haircandy.net/pretip.htm

As for your install, Tangles listed everything above that you will need. I like using a hair template too (which wasn't listed) just to isolate the hair I'm working on but some people don't use one. They are only about $1.50 so it's not a bad investment. All the supplies are hard to find in public stores, online is the best way to get everything you need at a great price.

Good luck and keep us posted with pictures
