I have been wanting to get a flat iron for awhile and there are so many out
there can any one suggest a reasonably priced one and good quality.
Regular ceramic vs tremoline? I have recently tried the Maxiglide and
was pretty impressed, Is the Sedu that much better? Also smoothing
products, I saw in another profile the Nexcuss Emergencee was
recommended. Anything else? I have fairly fine hair but it is extremely
curly, I also highlight it. I'd like to use something for styling my hair both
ways, leaving it airdry and curly and when I would use the flat iron. Your
help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go to "THE FIGHT AGAINST HUMIDITY" in this forum and read what Shary said about her regimen... it sounds pretty good.

I suggest the Sedu. It is ceramic/tourmaline. I haven't used the
Maxiglide so I don't know how it compares. Nexuss Emergencee isn't a
smoothing product it is a protein treatment. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy
but some people don't like it because it has alcohol in it. Be sure to
use a heat protectant. Either use a spray like VO5 Miracle Mist or
something with cones. Depending on how curly your hair is you might
want to blow dry it first to get better results.
