I'm male and my hair is currently above ear lenght, I've always used gel to tame it but I'm tired of its stiffness.. I want high definition without stiffness so I was wondering if I should try pomade, I'm a bit concerned about greasiness though, I don't want my hair to look too greasy. BTW do we have to wash the hair everyday if we use pomade? thx in advance.

Pomade is paste it's used in very small amounts and used for shorter hairstyles to give it a piecey, spikey, funky type look. Gels vary as there are some gels with very firm hold that are stiffer than gels with medium or light hold that won't make it appear as stiff. You should try different styling products just to get a good overall feel and develop a personal preference. Pomade is good but it depends on the look you are striving for.
