Hi. My name is Julie and I am from Oklahoma.  I have had a real

problem in the past year with hair loss.  My hairline is receding and

when I put my hair in a ponytail (which isnt very often)  I notice

my hairline on the bottom on my scalp has moved up considerably.

I really dont know what to do.  I used to have really thick hair and

it had a lot of wave, not it is becoming more thin and straight.

Do you have any suggestions?  Is it possible to grow the hair

back?  I have tried Rogaine and some other products for treatment

for thinning hair but they havent worked. I also tried various hair

vitamins, biotin and lecithin and that isnt working either.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

so much!!!!!  Julie

Sorry to hear about your problem.  I'm a male with male pattern baldness and I've experienced a thinning at the back of the neck like you are talking about.  In my case the thinning occurred because I used to wear a headband with the back of it low, were my neck meets the back of my head.  I guess the abrasion of the head band caused my hair to thin back there.  Once I noticed what was happening I stopped wearing the head band like that.  The hair never did come back to it's original thickness.  It's not bald but the hair is so thin compared to the surrounding hair that it doesn't look like it used to.  In your case it's not male pattern baldness so I'd recommend you see a doctor for your own piece of mind.  I think a dermatologist is who you'd want to see for hair loss issues.
