hey, I just colored my hair two days ago with L'Oreal Feria Hi-Lift Platnium Crystal...and it is just kind of blah. It is kind of a cornslik color I guess...not like the box at all, the top of my head is kind of yellow. It is not horrible, but not that great. Oh yeah, I am a natural medium blonde, and all I had in my hair before was low lights.

So I was wondering to get my hair to look multi demnsional could I buy a cap highlighting kit do that, then buy like a light brown all over perment color and do that using the cap, instead of using it has a all over color. I know this might be a stupid question, but I  just have never heard of anyone doing this and was wondering if anybody ever has, and what was there results.

Also if I decided to do this, should I do the brown and highlights at once. Or do like the highlights first, wash, then do the brown? I don't see why you couldn't do them both at once, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks,

Chelsea

Try lowlights first....it might work. But BE CAREFUL! You're hair will be porous and really take the color. Don't go too dark. I went too dark and looked like Elvira (I had the foil method done by a professional). The 'chestnut' lowlights looked closer to black and mixed with my platinum/light ash existing strands.....looked grey.  I had to end up bleaching them to strawberry/honey blonde myself. Here's my thread....
