Alright everyone.... over the last year i've spent wayyy to much money on hair and supplies (being a college student)  my last instal with proflex went horrible, the tape fell out after my first wash.  I'm too discouraged not to mention broke to even think about another install. Fortunately for you guys i'm selling all of my stuff.  Whatever you want, make an offer, it all has to go.

What I have:

2 wefts of #33 Wawa, 3 small bottles of Liquid gold, one large bottle, and a bottle of the remover (i'll get the sizes for you in a little while), one weft of bohyme shade 613 and one full weft of bohyme shade 10 worn for 3 days (the weft is cut up into various sizes, however, the hair is all 14 inches long)  Amm's 200 piece clear shrinkies and orange oil remover, Doctored locks micro links in light brown and micro link remover tool, 50mm PH in baby rosa (cut in half), 50mm PH in powerlon blue (a baby blue), champanger blonde PH 50mm also cut in half, and a hair extension iron.

I'm getting ready to do a Pro-flex install....interested to hear about yours falling out after the first wash.  Any suggestions?

I can totally understand. The money I have put into products and testing is enough to shock the conscience. I imagine it's been even more difficult on a college budget.

Very interesting results on the Pro-Flex as I've had mine in for 6 weeks. I'll be replacing it this week.

I'm sad to hear your giving up extensions. But i can definitely understand.

And I think the hold of the proflex may be associated with how oily your scalp is.At least thats been my experience.I have never been able to wear bonded wefts longer than three days. And thats even if they are sandwiched in.I know bonded wefts arent the same. But its similar IMO to it.I dont know if thats what caused them to fall out for you stacy. But I'm not even gonna try the prostrips. It will just be a waste.

i totaly agree with u it's way too much money to invest on hair. i work and go to college full-time. i would love to get all the latest techniques done. i especially like the fusion and lacefront but i don't have fusion money rite now.

is there places to get them cheaper??? i'l even put it in myself if need be.

I would go to a nice set of clip-ins if all else has failed you. Make it out of the bohyme you have and maybe some out of your synth.

KRS. the best advice I can give you is not to get any conditioner on the strips, that will just make it fall out. If you can avoid that then proflex is heaven sent, it makes for a super fast install.  Long hair dreams, your probably right, my scalp is very oily.  I waited 6 days before my first wash, and that, with the conditioner, probably contributed to them slipping down my hair.  I had no choice but to condition my hair though, it's bleached and very dry.

Marie, that reminds me I also have a full-head plus set of custom clipins in shade #4 made of RK hair that is up for dibbs.

The pro-flex works fine on very greasy hair as long as its washed before install and not conditioned.  I've done a client who's got the greasyest hair you've ever seen and that lasted 5 weeks +.

Conditioner is what she used to get them out xx

Thanks for the tips, everyone.  I've gotten my proflex strips from Amm (of course the fastest shipping EVER) and am just waiting on the hair.  Sounds like it might be a good idea to wash and dry prior to install and NOT do it on hair that has been washed and conditioned the day before.  Very excited to try and see what the results are!

Hmm. maybe I'm wrong.I always start with fresh unconditioned hair. But by the third day the bonds are breaking down heavily. On top of my hair being oily it is super sleek.I'm sure if were a rougher texture it would hold better.I cant even keep ponytail holders in cause they slip right out.Its ridiculous.

Its cool though, shrinkies have been successful in my hair.As long as I use uncoated LG under each shrink.
