I have the same problem when I comb my hair. But, I would guess it is from over-heating hair or using the wrong products.

What's your hair routine dncamp, what products do you use? The hairs that your finding do the they have bulbs on the end or are they short pieces? We will need more information so we give you the right advise

I agree w/ blackhoney. Knowing your routine & what prods you use will b helpful. Could be normal shedding or it could be breakage from heat styling, too much protein, not enuf moisture, etc. I know the feeling.. seeing those hairs coming out can be stressful. I'm sure you'll get great sugg/advice once you post more info.

I am soooo sorry ladies for just getting back to you. The hairs that I am finding are breaking (no white bulbs on the ends). I really do not have a so-called hair regimen; I just do what I do. I do not use any heat whatsoever. I am trying to do more co-washes to keep my hair moisturized during the winter months, but I am searching for a daily moisturizer that is not too heavy. I am thinking about braiding it up for a few months to give it and myself a much needed break. I am still open for suggestions until then.

Since u use no heat and it seems like u MAY have
enough moisture u may need protein,, u could try
Nexxus Emergencee or K-pak or Nexxus Keraphix
which is a lighter protein but always make sure u
follow up with a deep moisturizing conditioner..... ohh
and a good daily moisturizer is phyto9 but thats
expensive so u could try carrot oil or safflower oil...

I noticed that you mentioned doing more co-washes now. I don't know if that could be the cause of breakage for you, but it was for me! I tried this summer to do daily co-washes but found it was not for me at all. I got more breakage than when I did my normal regimen so I had to cut those out and go back to my usual routine. The breakage stopped soon after I switched back. I think my hair was getting too much moisture and became too soft and mushy, thus causing breakage.

try doing a protein treatment since it seems you have enough moisture
