Well 2005 is almost gone so why not start a 2006 list.

Hmmm...Well my vote goes to Jessica Simpson. She's getting a divorce and will probably do something with her hair like cutting it really short (or getting rid of the extensions hehe) or becoming a brunette.

Hmm I can't think of anyone else but maybe one of the new 'mommies' who want to be taken more seriously?

I am probably completely wrong though!

I reckon Sarah Michelle Gellar will go short sometime in 2006.

Jennifer Anniston to do something different with her hair as it hasn't changed much for many years - prime candidate for short hair

Demi Moore - to go short again

Catherine Zeta Jones - to lose a few inches but not go short

OK, I'll go out on a limb here...

I predict that the long hair craze will come to an end, especially the hideous (my opinion) of the long, push to the side, cover one eye, bangs.

The next haircut craze will be a crop-like cut and the trendsetter will be......Jessica Simpson.  (well, Sienna Miller beat her to it but Jessica will get the credit)

Jennifer Anniston hated short hair, Demi Moore is growing out her shoulder-length hair, Sarah Michelle Gellar has had shorter hair and grew it out pretty quickly and Jessica needs her hair as part of her bimbo image so probably won't go shorter than a bob.

I think from what I've seen lately, growing out the natural colour of their hair and acheiving long, extention-free hair will be next, possibly with the odd star getting thair hair bobbed.

If Jessica did cut her hair (which I don't think she will) she would have extensions put right back in. I just don't understand that part when a celebrity cuts her hair because she is wanting something new and then a week later has extensions back in (ala Brittney Spears)

Maybe it's thier owners(Mangers,Lables, who knows what else) that tell them messes up with that we want you to look like put the Fake in.

Predictions for next year?  Well, between the wigs, extensions, and illusion updos, drastic hair changes have become pretty risk-free, so I think celebs will continue to screw with our heads by changing their hair every other week -_- .

With luck, directors (and character/costume designers, of course) will find that actresses are less reluctant to change their hair for roles and start getting more creative with the design, so maybe we'll see more variety of styles.

I personally think this year ( 2006 ) is going to be the year celebs go short.

I personally look for Britney, Christina, and Jessica to go ABOVE the shoulders before the year is out.

We'll see huh?

They all are above the shoulders as it is. They just have several inches of plastic, not real(well maybe Jessica doeshave expensive extentions)but in the case of Britney and Xtina) but synthetic stringey masses stitched into their heads to try to disguise the fact.

I agree with Fatmoogas on that. It's good to see real hair that is long.

I predict Charlize Theron's hairstyle in Aeon Flux will become very popular with the Hot Topic goth crowd in the next few months.

Like I said....I believe the female cuts are gonna swing back short next year.....and if they do you KNOW the celebs will try to be in the mix to be IN

I agree w/Dark Helmet.  The angled bob with long bangs will be very popular in 2006.

I find the last few "predictions" doubtful. When is the last time there was a rush of celebs lopping off hair anywhere above the shoulders? Sure you'll get the odd celeb who will chop it, but the likelihood of a cut like Sienna Miller's ever starting a trend amongnst celebs seems totally improbable. Long hair, my entire adult life ,has been "in" in Hollywood. Every few years, a mini-trend happens where some form of the bob becomes in vogue for 10 minutes(like this year), and the regrowth starts from the first snip. It's a "safe" trend to try. It's already at shoulder length, so grow outs are not too hard.

Real people are more likely to follow "trends", but even for them, indicators for 2006 appear to be about slightly longer looks, more layers, and playing with texture. The flat irons should at least get a chance to cool off next year to some degree. Curls will bounce back, imo.

Who knows though, guess we'll see soon enough....
