Hi Ladys, is there anybody around who knows if the double drawn hair
from rk.com is remy hair or cuticle free? I mailed them and they wrote
back they are using "mainly remy hair" for their products, whatever
that means. They didn`t told me which products are remy or which are
not. Is the double drawn tangling? Is it worth a try?

mine matted up terribly, as did most others who bought the double drawn.

From my understanding the double drawn is NOT remy hair. I too had serious tangling and matting issues right from the get go and got worse as it went along. It became a daily battle to get the tangles worked out after washing.
Having said that...I do know that a few others had better luck, and some used the olive oil treatment that helped, and I think the lighter the color the more problems with tangling and matting.
I think that RK's single drawn is remy....but Im not positive about that, and dont know how well it holds up?? Maybe someone else can give some imput on this!

Thank you Kalika and Sherrie, that helps! I bought my first wefts eight
month ago. It was the single drawn remy silky straight in 1b from Rk
hair. I bought it here in Germany and paid for one package as much as
at their online shop for two packages.
(Now I know better.) The hair is still wonderful (After cutting the
ends!) and I like it very much. At the moment I am wearing it in
combination with amm`s hair. Now I am looking for some silky
straight in about 28". Unfortunately the silky straight is not
availlable in 28" at the moment.
That was the reason why I thought about trying the double drawn but I
don`t want to end up with a mess on my head....

I guess I'm the only one, but the double drawn 20" RK hair I bought did NOT tangle! It's some of the best hair I've ever bought. I realize that's not the case with everybody - maybe I just got lucky cuz the 4 bags I have are great. The original set I had in for about 2 months (not in at the moment) is still silky and shiny, ready for another round on my head.
The single drawn remy, however, I find is bunk. I hate the texture - it has lots of those rogue 'coarse' hairs in it - and it needed about 2" cut off the ends. Yick.
It seems all the interest generate here when we first discovered RK may have overtaxed their supply of good quality hair. Whatever it is, they sure are inconsistent nowadays.

Whow, Tangles, that sounds bad... it seems like buying there is kind of
gambling... Syren, I had also had luck but with the single drawn, no
"coarse" grey hair at all, but I also had to cut a lot. And it was
badly shedding.I fixed it with nail glue...But the texture blends
perfect with my own hair. And if I mix it with textures different from
my own (I love curly and wavy hair) it works for me.
At the moment the online shop seems to be closed, Indian hair is still
selling but rk hair is not present any more. Don`t know what`s
going on there...
So I am wondering about them answered my mail within eight hours
telling me they are selling mainly remy products. Maybe they change
their supply and try to improve the quality?
It is not easy to find straight wefted hair in 28" at raisonable
prices. But about 90 Bucks for matting, tangling hair is definitely to
much.

I can't even believe that, Tangles!! I mean I DO believe it, but it's just the total opposite of the hair I got! I know you said it before that your hair was unmitigated garbage...but nits too?! If you saw the hair I got, you would swear it's from a different vendor - it was nothing like that.
But it seems like a moot point now if RK is offline.
Luckily our amm has come to the rescue. I'm waiting on a weft of that Indian hair she just got in! The pictures look gorgeous. It should be here tomorrow (ohpleaseohpleaseohplease....)

I think it has its cuticles (which means absolutely nothing to me anymore.) All they're doing over there is coloring it, to my knowledge. And harshly, too, I believe. Here's a bundle of RK wefts I still have and it's not bad at all. The darker it is, the better.
I still have the clip-ins I made with it and they're a great back up when I'm in need of an emergency head o' hair. They haven't tangled or matted at all.
Would I buy from them again? Absolutely not. I may have come across a nit or two but it was so fried from the processing. I also found, ummm... dead winged creatures. They may have been moths or gnats or something. Their other site indianhairs has some hit n' miss ok virgin but from what I read elsewhere, it can be a good deal if you're into taking a gamble on nits and dirty hair.
S, the yummy stuff should be landing on your side tomorrow, I'd bet.

Nits... Since my cats brought some
fleas home, I am fed up with little crawling creatures, no matter if
dead or alive...After your reviews, I decided not to play hair-lotto.
Well, I would have tried the lush hair, but I want about 26" -
28"...and it is coming in 22"...Amm, you offer 28" also, don`t
you? IŽll sit here (un)patiently and wait untill your elite hair is
online. (Syren, lucky girl!)Do you have a texture with big weaves among
them? Kind of body wave, hope you know what I mean...In the meantime I
am playing around with some synthetic hair from headrazor I ordered
today. Since I discovered the bonding tapes for a very fast install, I
am mutating into a hair maniac...Could change my look every
day...

what color are you looking for? I might have a few leads for you. I have some remy hair that I just bought in 25 inch...the hair looks beautiful, but its the wrong color for me. Its #613 but looks like a #16 LOL. I know of a couple of places selling hair in 26 inch length...but I cant say the quality for sure yet. I have some coming to try.

Sherrie, I am looking for 1b or 2. It seems to be easier finding good quality in dark colors...
