Hi everyone, ok I’m not sure if any of you have tried this conditioner but it is just the best conditioner I have ever used on my hair. It’s called motions oil moisturizer deep penetrating silk protein conditioner. It has been the best thing to happen to my hair. Even if my hair is a bit dry before I wash it, I use this conditioner and it comes out soft and silky. I leave it on for about 40 mins it works well with the steam from your shower and when you wash it off it’s amazing. Have any of you already tried this conditioner?

I haven't tried it, I use the Motions Moisture Plus condtioner but I'm not too keen on the texture; it works but I want to try the CPR one, is the silk protein ok to use every week?

Yes it is ok to use every week. Actually it works so well on my hair that I have thought about using it more then once a week. What dont you like about the texture do you find it too thick?

It just feels very silicone-y I know it contains silicones but I prefer more creamy feeling conditioners, I would recommend it though it works well.

Is this one different than the CPR one?  I'm not too familiar with Motions but I've heard rave reviews on the CPR line.  I had it in my hands when I went to Sally's but didn't get it.

Smelly?? I found that it smelled great. Personally I thought it was creamy enough. But go what works for you. Just thought I would recommend it because I think it is so great. It definitely makes my hair nice and soft, and the friends that have tried told me that it works great for them.

I use Motions CPR but it leaves a coat on my hair after I rinse it out. Sometimes I have to over rinse it to get the seeds out b/c I think it has African herbs in it.

i have both the CPR and silk protein. the silk protein smells sort of chemicallish (sorry bout the new word). be careful if you want to use it weekly so you dont get a protein overload. i prefer the CPR

Renee: wow chemicalish lol well I don’t find so at all, actually as I said I think it smells rather good, not as you put it chemicalish at all. But then again everyone is different. I do use it weekly and it works wonders on my hair as I mentioned, I would even like to use it more then once a week. Maybe it' works differently on different textures of hair?

jasmine: I haven't used the CPR one, wasn’t aware that it contained seeds??

Hey everyone I tried that other conditioner that some of you have mentioned that CPR one, my mom happened to have it. I thought it smelled like over ripe banana or something I found the smell to be horrible. And jasmine you were right about the seeds, they seemed to be everywhere and it wasn’t fun getting them all out, I didn’t like how my hair smelled afterwards either. So I guess I will stick with the other one.

Lol I had that problem too with the herbs in there, there is no purpose for them at all although the smell didn't really bother me. It gives a nice slip but I have found other conditioners I like better.

Silk protein, huh?  I was looking at some of the motions conditioners as Sally's today and I noticed a lot of them had mineral oil as the second ingredient.  Does the same rule with mineral oil and petroleum go with conditioners as it does with moisturizers (i.e. don't use them because they doing penetrate the hair shaft)?

I don't know about others but mineral oil in shampoo's and conditioners dosen't matter as much to me because you're washing it out, vs. a moisturizer or pomade that you leave in.

^^^Ditto.

I tend to overlook those and focus on the products that will stay in my hair, they conditioners with mineral oil have yet to have a negative effect on my hair.
