Just wanted to give my thumbs up for the lush hair.  I went through my first washing and it was easy to comb and has nice body!  I LOVE IT!  And to think I just about gave up on extensions!  The shrinkies that I used aren't holding up very well though and it is totally bumming me out because I am probably going to have to reinstall it with better shrinkies.   Anyway, lush hair is awesome!

Did you have any color run when you washed it?

Not at all!  This is so far the best hair in my opinion!  It is very soft and shiny and it took very little work!  I wore my hair in Boinks last night used some purology shine and off to work I went!  I'm a high school teacher and dance coach so when you get comments on your hair by high school girls that are completely absorbed by appearances (at times) then you know you must have done something right!

What color do you wear?

I have in the #2 and the first wash my water was dark grey (which wasn't too bad because the hair still looked fine) but it dyed my clothes!

I have #10, #18\22, and #613 so all pretty light.  I just installed #2 and #613 on one of my dance team girls and she hasn't mentioned anything.  I'll ask her tonight at practice!

Laura, I've worn #2 myself and had no transfer of color, not even so much as a drip of it coming off. #2 was also a test color in the beginning about 4 months ago and there were no reports of it either. Same with the dark funky colors which all went into hot, sudsy water and sat for 48 hours - not a bit of color came off or faded. I would personally like to know of any future incidents like this so I can take the issue straight to the supplier.

Jodi, I think you'll find the shrinkies you just ordered will hold much better than what you have now. They're on the way.

edit - spelling.

Thanks Amm, I used your shrinks at first but my hair is really thick and so I needed to double up the lush tips and by then I had run out and so I used these other ones and I have honestly lost close to 20-25 tips in three days!  Crazy, so now I know what I will be doing again this weekend!  By the way I love your shrinkies too!

LOL! That is hands-down the highest compliment possible! Now you know they're obsessing about what you did to your hair.

If you double up the tips, tap them first with the fusion wand and roll them into one complete, solid tip before installing them. If you decide later that they're too big, run the fusion wand back over the tip, flatten them and then split them and roll them back up while they're still warm. :)

Amm:

Any way to install lush hair using Pro-tac strips?  I ordered the hi-light kit today from you as well as the basic shrinkie stuff.  Any thoughts?  I really would rather go strips if at all possible.  Char

Interesting. I'll get ahold of the hosting company and see what's up.

Overusage of bandwidth is apparently the issue. Who's to blame for this?! LOL! It might be down all night until I get home from work and get everything upgraded. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I agree that the Lush hair is 'yummy-licious'.

I am going to install it on a client on Wednesday.

OK, I guess I was able to deal with it here at work so the site is back up now.

You guys crashed the shrinkies website? Sounds like what happened at Wal Mart the day after Thanksgiving! Overzealous shoppers trashed the place, caused fights, etc.

Peace out! There is enough lush hair for everybody. (Isn't there?!)

amm - I did email you about it, (haven't heard back yet)

I do have in the #2 test hair... before it was up on the site I got the one that had bigger tips, if that makes a difference. And I need to know what was used on it so I can get it out of my coat...(all in the email I sent you)  I only have the Lush hair in so it can't be anything else, the water ran colored before I even put anything in it.  Was the original hair any different than what you have now?

Laura, thanks for the email exchange this morning. Much appreciated. This is how problems get acknowledged and rectified right away.

The Lush Hair's darker colors have been pulled and a statement put on the site about them. I have a call in to the supplier and will try to find out what's going on and why these two batches are doing this. If they do not take care of the problem or offer a solution, I will drop them immediately and everything's going to go. I don't deal with screw ups and I damn sure won't pass it along to others.

Oh man, I like the hair!   It just needs to be washed first.  And thank you for your excellent customer service. Is the hair you have on weft in the pro-tac kit the same?  I was just going to try some.

Hmmm.... I tested #2 and had no problem with fading

I hope the distributor works everything out for you amm!

Laura, that's different hair from the same supplier. It was supposed to be Lush but they sent the wrong kind. Amazing how they did that when my explicit instruction was to have ALL the same hair. I'm wearing the weft hair now in Pro-Tac. It feels nice but I consider it a step or two below Lush.

Gina, same issue here - no fading with some but fading with others. I can't possibly test all the packs but I will also be testing the darker auburns as well in the next couple days. Either way, there's going to be a disclaimer about the darker shades and I'll dump the whole line if it isn't rectified. Frankly, this supplier has been plagued with continuous errors. The hair is pretty, no doubt, but I have not received any response from them at all about this issue. Very very irritating.
