I went to get a haircut yesterday and i wanted it cut low but not really really low like my barber usually cuts it(he usually cuts it almost bald). He said that  my hair cant get cut like I want  (about half a centimetre )  because it looks patchy at that length. He said its because of my hair texture.Funny thing is that he was right. it does look a tad patchy now.

Why is this so???

I thought it was wierd what he said. The guy next to me had like cosrse black hair and the other guy had mixed hair and they both had their cut the length i wanted mine but mine looks patchy. He said i either can cut all of my hair off or leave loads of it on . I know my hair is more than one texture but i thought most people had multiple textures on ther head

it might be ur hair texture. i cant explain it, but sum guys cant get certain cuts w/o it lookin right. my cuz had hair like that, and b4 i cut, it, i was thinkin, "its gonna end up in patches if i cut it this low."

i cut a lil in the back near the nape of his neck, and i could tell, that was what was goin to happen. combed his hair out, faded it a bit, and went with a larger clip.

Yea, I think ya barber just messed ya head up.  Go to a different barber one time and see what happens.

Try a different barber but there may be some truth to what he said. Some hair textures are funny. Even the direction of the gain of your hair can cause you to have patches. If your hair grows in a different directions too much, it will cause patches.

I know cause I been cutting hair for about 20 years. Yes, 20 years. I have cut some cats hair and they had this wierd growing patteren that really  made it hard to cut it low. If it grows in all different directions and straight in some areas, it can cause problems. I know I jacked up a few peeps hair because of it. Hair texture also plays an important role in a hair cut. A good barber can work around these problems but it makes it very hard for some barbers.

I thought hair texture didnt have to do with how your cut looked
