Ok so i found cybermane ..and her website looks amazing and it seems she does diffrent types of extensions and so forth..BUT... i was reading on her website to make a consultation you pay like $150.00 is that normal?what if i decide she is too expensive or we clash ?..ive met with a few salons and i have never been charged for a consultation..i cant even email her with out paying first i find that a little wierd.GOD GRRRRRRR im so frustrated she is close enough to me but i dont want to pay upfront without telling her or she telling me ...ok ill keep searching i guess and i love reading this forum it helps me understand a few things..but ladies and ofcourse gentlemen is this normal to pay for a consultation? if so please respond your advice really helps me out. as far as it being normal or not... some people charge and some don't.  but your paying for their time and I think her consultations (from what I understand) are quite long compared to others who don't charge - and I've never been given samples of hair to play with at home on a free consult.

Sorry for not responding so fast.  Thanks to my friends for watching out for me and keeping me on track!  I'm not as active here.

But to answer your question.  I do offer alot of methods...I mean a lot.

If it's like a 15min consult of a single method without samples, then I'll do it for free; otherwise I charge for the 1.5 hour to 2 hours of my time.  Or if it's a client who already knows what hair and method she wants, and she gives me 50% down; as I'm doing her hair I'll show her my other methods and give her some free samples.  Or if she's a referral and her friend/relative, who's my long time client, suggest to bring her in, then I'll give her a free consult during her friend's/relative's install.

Sorry but I can't do new clients' consults for free, I get asked too many questions about the different types of hair, synthetics, humans, thermos, cybers, individuals, seamless, swon ins, skin grafts, etc....and it does take up a lot of my time.  I would really be out of business if I gave free consults.  I've learned my lesson in the past.

The best thing though is that the entire $150 is applied to your service should you decide to have them done.  And you get to 'test drive' the samples prior to spending on a full head.  I can give you as much samples, but one of each per method, except for the weaves and skin grafts though...I can give you client's emails for those methods so you can talk with them.  In addition, I can also show those methods what they look and feel like.

I do tell people to pay in advance in my website b/c I've been getting hundreds of emails from not very serious individuals.  And you know the Interent is a very wide, wide world out there.

Wish there was more of me to go around.  To answer all their long stories, sometimes sad emails, to listen to all their phone calls about hair loss and going through all this pain, to conference call between them and their stylist from another city, etc... but I can't b/c I got 6 hour long installs to do...Sorry... but I have to be there for my clients first...Sorry...

Kimarie was my worst install experience ever. She is the reason I dis-like Hairlocs so much. Do not let that discourage you though. I moved on a found a method I love and never looked back

OKKKKKKKKK so i booked with charlene for MONDAY THE 19TH..we talked on the phone she is going to work with me and my budget lolo...guys i will keep you all upto date...trust me i have the worst hair so she will have her hands full with me..lolomaybe even post pics so we can all laugh together..

AND to the KIMARIE subject ...i loved the hair she was just a liar and bad at it she never came down to do maitnence and when she did we would pay for her flight and her 5**** hotel..she would charge like hundreds of dollars for a maitnence and nothing would get done finally my hair marinated BAD and i had them removed  and the little hair i did have left she F***CKED    UP GRRRRRRRRRRR sorry..
