I know that I don't make as many post as I use to. It is because of the Holidays. Christmas is coming soon so it's getting very busy around the office. I'm a Sales Rep. for Hairboutique.com so I have much to do right now. Sales are increasing and the phone rings none stop. The site may slow down a bit but it will pick up once everyone is out of school and have more free time. I know I will.
Plus I'm in college taking finals term exams and writing term papers too.
I know I'm not the only person getting caught up with the holidays. If you are going to school, you know what I'm talking about. I hope everyone in school will do well on their finals. Get those assignments in too. Do your best guys because it will pay off in the end. For right now, get your Geek on.

Already!!
My girl keep tripping cause I spend more time at work or in school than I do at home. When I am at home, I'm doing home work. I know I'm slipping but I got to get this $$$ and get my degree too. I'm on the grind so excuse me while "I go out and get it and come home with it".
I'll be glad when school is out so I can take a break on all those tests and homework.

I have got two more test and I'm finished for the semester.
I need one more class and then I walk across the stage to get my 2nd degree. This is quite an accomplishment for me. I have been through so much. School is easy, it's what goes on outside of the classroom that makes going to college hard. My brother graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas this Saturday. We are so proud of him too.
It's a blessing that all of my brothers and sisters have degrees (5 of them). There are few Black Men finishing highschool or college. So I want to give props to any Black MAN going to school trying to better themselve. There is a shortage of Black MEN in college.
Who else is in college right now are plan on going to college?????

Yea playa, go on and get it cause it's rough on a brother. We have to be 3 times as good at everything in order to get respect and have a chance. It's sad but that's the way it is.

Wow, I took the entrance exam for Devry in Dallas about 4 years ago. I did very well but, I look at how much it cost and how many student loans I would need. I backed out of it and went for my BA in Social Psychology since my whole family is into sociology. They are into teaching, preaching, and being social activist. Oh, I'm still into technology, that's my passion. T&S software owns this site, I been with them for quite a while now.
Brother do your thing man. I'm proud of you cause I know how hard it is on brothers. We are somewhat by ourselves. We have very few role models and are surrounded by females who don't understand. So brother, MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU AND YOUR GOALS. Keep doing it man. God will bless you! Your hard work will pay off.

Good choice Tuskegee is Black University with a strong history of educated Black Men. It is one of the top universities to graduate from. GenoTheLowrider, do your thang man. Think big and live well. Now that's what I'm talking about. Not all of us are thugs and theaves. Some of us have a higher awareness. I'm glad to see I'm not alone here. There are some thinkers out there and in here too.

Click on the black and white picture to see a bigger picture. We must know our past to know our future. Congress has designated only one college campus in the country as a National Historic Site: Tuskegee.
Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute was founded in 1881 by Booker T. Washington, an educator and former slave who became one of the most influential African American leaders in the United States. The institute later became Tuskegee University. In the beginning, the school was chartered by the state of Alabama to train African American men and women in teaching, agriculture, and industrial trades.
At the invitation of Booker T. Washington, famed botanist George Washington Carver came to Tuskegee in 1896 to head the agriculture department. It was there that Carver developed his method of crop rotation to conserve nutrients in the soil. He also discovered hundreds of new uses for the peanut and sweet potato. In the 1920s, the school expanded its mission and offered its students a liberal arts education

The Carver Foundation and Tuskegee's Agricultural Research and Experiment Station continue to do research in the natural sciences. There are schools of arts and sciences, agriculture and home economics, business, education, engineering and architecture, nursing and allied health professions, and veterinary medicine. The library contains the Washington Collection and Archives, one of the country's most comprehensive collections on Africa and African-American history.

O yes please believe that, the ONLY campus in the nation thats a National Historic site. I love it, being a history major and that campus is filled with history. Including Booker T's house, the "Oaks", and the Carver museum, not to mention pretty much every building on campus. Its a great school, and I love going there.
I feel you on the black men BiggMike, not all are bad, but not enough are in college either. The girls at Tuskegee HIGHLY outnumber the males here.
Preciate the encouragement, I will definitly keep my eyes on the prize and see it through, u do the same bro.

Social Research Methods covers the Qualitative Research Method and the Quantitative Research Method. Quantitative is the hardest part because it uses statistics/math methods to analyze collected data.

Man that's beautiful to see Black university. Imagine If there was one on the westcoast. That would be nice, its almost ashame that the high school graduates from cali got to down down south to get that experience. It would be nice if there was a black university in evey state. Maybe one day. Inspirational Post.

Being in the south has some good things about it. You see, all of the first Black educators are from the south. All of the first Black Universities are in the south.
Why BiggMike? Because the south is where African Slaves staged all of the uprisings and all the secret meetings to learn how to read and write. They plotted on how to get away and be free. It was here and then it was there. People forget but southerns don't. We experience in your face racism on a regular basis. We are constantly reminded of our "place" in society.
That's why I keep saying wake up and see your people as Kings and Queens, not niggas. We all come from "Nappy Roots", be proud of it and stay strong and be smart.
