can someone tell me which type of artificial nails look most natural?

i want to get my nails done... with tips...but im not sure which kind (acrylic or gel)

i heard gel is a lot thinner & more natural looking.

if anyone as any experience with it, please share! thanks

It all depends on the person doing them.  I waer acrylic mostly and no one ever realizes that they are not natural!  Gel are not necessarily thinner or more natural looking.  Actually, they can look pretty plastic-y, again depending on who does them.  If you want a super thin enhancement - a wrap is the thinnest.(Silk or fiberglass)

I think the realistic-ness depends on who does them, acrylics can look good or thick and lumpy; it's best to talk to a nail tech to find out which are best for you.

You can use tips with any type of artificial nail - including wraps

FYI-gels do not come off by soaking them..they must be filed off..just wanted to let you know.  that is not always a good thing.

Thats right.  Gels cannot be soaked off with acetone - you need to file them off (never rip them off!).  BUT they file like butter compared to acrylic.  The benefit to not soaking off is that they are impervious to chemicals - nothing will penetrate them.
