I'm gettin ready to cut my hair again, braids just aren't me anymore. When my hair gets long enough I'm planin on getting curls. I want to know what to use to get them. I have pretty thick hair so I don't know how to approach this.

Also would you consider these curls? (Bow Wow w/ short hair)

That pic looks like a texturizer- is that what you are referring to?
