Hello

I'm deciding whether to get back into dying my hair. I'm quite reluctant to but my hairdresser (who I trust with my life, or more importantly my hair) has suggested Elumen colour by Goldwell. I'm in the process of trying to get my hair back to a healthier state after years being quite cruel to it and dyeing it is the last thing I want to do but unfortunately I need to do something to cover the grey that has been slowly developing. She has assured me that elumen isnt damaging and will make my hair healthier and shinyier. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything on elumen, good or bad.

I use Goldwell Color professionally but I do not use the Elumen line. The Elumen line from Goldwell is new and it's a great line however there are a few things you should know about the line. First of all your stylist will show you the swatches and they look great but they are not the exact colors that will occur to your hair if your stylist uses that color of Elumen, they are just shades. Also Elumen color DOES NOT fade like traditional hair color. Elumen is usually very vibrant, trendy colors that are for your younger clients who want more of an Avante Guard look. Elumen is not a entry type color or for someone who is looking to color their hair again. You should goto Goldwell's site and read more on Elumen. I personally don't think it's for you if you are looking at getting back into hair color.

Actually based on what your saying Im actually liking how the elumen sounds. As long as the finished colour comes out close to my natural shade I'm happy since Im not looking for any specific colour . I just want the grey gone and some oomph to my natural colour. I was going to get the clear gloss done anyways because I'm looking for some sort of change. Ive hit that bored stage.
