I'm having the best hair day of my LIFE! I've been following my
regimen for about 3 months now, and last night I finally used Nexxus
products on my hair (love them, BTW). I blowdryed my hair, and set it this morning on my caruso rollers...girls, I almost cried. I had the biggest, bounciest curls I've ever had, and it's full, thick and about 1/2 an inch longer than before.  I work in tv, and was on the air this morning, and people were calling to compliment me on my hair! Thanks for all the great advice and knowledge, I can't tell you what it means to me.  ------------- The Lord is my light and my salvation...whom shall I fear?

yayy , go womanly charm!! i feel the same way,, these boards have saved myhair and also me!! becuz i no longer need the salon weekly and myhair looks soo much better than when i did go,, its like a HUGE!! weight lifted from my shoulders,, i hate being reliant on things and its given me great freedom to be able to wash and do my hair on my own time in addition to all the great tips i've gotten ,, myhair is SOOO much healthier and longer already and ijust joined this july!! Good luck 2 u!! ------------- Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED |

I´m so pleased about finding this forum too! I´m originally from London but live in Germany now. I don´t know about the US but here in Europe there isn´t enough information for black girls on how to look after their hair. Here in Europe the media is mainly focused on white women and celebrities and through reading magazines I learnt more about styling techniques for white women than for black women. For too long have I lived to believe that my hair is problamatic because I´m black and that was that! I started to resent my hair and not treat it with respect because I was made to believe that it had no potential. I´ve been wearing braided extentions for years but after discovering this forum have decided to follow some of the advice I´ve discovered and prepare to ditch the extentions in the summer in exchange for healthy hair of my own. I think it´s great that black women are coming together to share their testimonies and tips especially in world where so many black women are disillusioned and confused about the behaviour of their hair.
