Well, some of you say BBBs aren't very good because they supposedly thin out your ends... Is that true? And are thin ends bad...?

And I use my BBB to make my hair lie flatter, not as much for distributing oil... And sometimes if some parts of my hair stick out, I attack it with the BBB. Attacking as in bringing it down in multiple, quick, and-not-so-gentle strokes...  I sort of feel like it's not good for my hair...  But hey, it does make it flatter.

Ahh, and now back to studying for that wretched history test tomorrow...

Well, I haven't heard that BBBs thins out one's ends, but I can see how that might happen if one isn't careful when using a BBB and "you"end up snapping off pieces of hair. Thin ends aren't necessarily bad, but it wouldn't be too good if they became thin because of rough handling. That said, attacking hair with a BBB to make it flatter isn't at all good for your hair. Perhaps finding a gentler way of smoothing out your hair would be a better idea.

BTW, good luck with your test!

I guess BBBs can quicken a person's shedding... but other than that, there's a way to use one and there's a way to abuse one. Sasumi if a BBB helps you, I think you'll be fine as long as you detangle your hair with fingers or a wide-tooth comb first.

I would recommend getting your hair as thoroughly detangled as possible before using a BBB.  Finger combing, then wide-tooth comb, then fine-tooth comb or standard brush, before finishing with a BBB.  It also depends on the density with which the BB are packed.  The more densely packed, the more detangled your hair needs to be, before use.
