Hi everyone!
I have been wondering my hair type, I believe it is 4B but I am not completely sure.  The pictures of my fotki with my braids are of me with my 13 weeks post relaxer so I have a few inches new growth.  If anyone else can help me figure it out that would be great! Thank you, God bless!

Your hair is very pretty and healthy looking.  Your braid out came out nice.  It's kinda hard for me to tell from the pics but I'm thinking 4a mixed with some 4b, but I'm not too sure. If your natural hair has an "S" curl pattern it is probably 4a but if you have more of a "Z" pattern it is 4b.

Thank you very much for your responses pokahontas and sistaslick.  I really can not tell if my hair has more of an 's' or a 'z' pattern.  From what I can tell, there is not curl pattern, is that normal? LOL.  That's okay though, it's growing in and it appears to be healthy.  I just ordered a trial version of MTG (SOOO excited!!) and I will be posting pictures of my progress (if any) either monthly or bimonthly.  First, I will need to get a trim though my have dry broken off ends from the first two weeks after I got my hair trimmed last time.  I figured out it was my darn straightening iron that was hurting my hair, yes two weeks after getting a trim i had very ends... so now I only use heat from deep conditioning treatments :).  Okay.. I'm rambling.. talk to you more on the forum.  God bless!

Your welcome and welcome to the forum!  Yes it's completely normal to have no curl pattern.  It means you are probably a 4b, and you're right, as long as it's growing and is healthy that's all that matters.  I look forward to seeing your progress.  You will learn so much here.  Cya around the boards!
