i have always wondered, what is the best colour for asian. mainly asian with black hair and eyes. skin either tawny(yellowish), light olive or dark olive. some asian even have naturally pale pinkish skin.
if i am not mistaken these are all the shades in the cool zone of the colour wheel. so best color shade we should wear is ash brown, ash blondes, platinum, dark brown, black, plum, burgundy, red or purple.
but
if i got to the drugstore selling those comercial brand like loreal, revelon, and nutrier garnesse, they usually have warm colours such as auburn, gold, copper, and mahogany.
i have a aunt who dyed her hair in a auburn red shade and it look bad but then last week i saw her with these really nice ashy dark brown shade and she looked great.
but
i dyed my sisters hair with this golden mahogany shade it looked great dispite unven color. i forgot she had thick hair and that requried two boxes, i used only one. i also dyed my hair with this shade called frosted brown??? but the box shade number is 203. so i am guessing a 2 shade lightning neutral brown with gold reflects??
i kinda liked it dispite is being slighty golden but it was mother approved ( meaning not too bright or over the top shade ).
so i am kinda confuse right now. is my market (malaysia) doomed with bad color from unsuitable shades that is sold in most stores and that we have to fork out color jobs and salons that has the cool shades???
please any replies is welcomed. i really hope colurist, stylist, pro diy colour users could help me with this burning question
