I have been searching for about 3 hours now  and cannot find a post I read a month or two ago. It said that she was pre-tipping with a "pro-sealant" or something like that, that was purchased at Sallys Beauty supply. She said it was easier that LG and you didnt need to use the nail glue at the tips. I need to do some tipping and I wanted to go grab some of this stuff. I have searched every key word I could think of that I thought I remembered from that post and came up with nothing. Can any one remember or help.?

THanks in adavance. I know u girls will come thru!

Cheers,

PR Princess

I think it might have been proclaim latex glue. Thats what Sally's carries. I personally didnt have much luck with latex glue by itself, I still felt the need for LG over the top of the latex, but I do think some people use the latex alone without topcoating with any other glue.

Thanks Sherrie. I knew someone would remember. But just for my own knowledge, what was the problems u had with pre-tipping w/ only latex? when u do it, do u use the latex and then the LG on the tip like others put a spot of nail glue? thanks again!

I have not had luck pre tipping with the Proclaim.  It just doesn't hold the hair together very well and it's messy.

the problem I had with proclaim was that the tips come apart under the shrinkie after awhile. I lost more tips throughout the life of the extensions than usual and had some shedding. Still not alot...but more than usual. Also when removing the tips done with latex they fell apart more than any other glue that I used for pretipping
